My Spring 2015 Make Up Favorites: Part 1

It is important for almost everyone to receive feedback about his/her work or product. The limited collections being one of a kind also deserve a word of praise or of disapproval. I decided to start a series of my “limited” favorites. Having already reviewed my everyday go-to DIOR palette, I will show you my favorite glam palette today.

What can I say. YSL seems to never disappoint me! The colors and the pigmentation of their eyeshadows are almost always impeccable. You have to be very experienced in make up though, as it is easy to overdo with the YSL color. Anyway, let me itroduce you the glamorous Desir de Jour Couture Palette Collector:

Swatches of the colors: champagne with pink glitter, pink, golden-brown, camel-brown, and black-ish brown with pink glitter without/ with the base.

I find this palette pretty easy to use and I would recommend it even to the make up beginners (with the exception of the darkest color – it needs taming!). The eyeshadows have an excellent texture with great blendability. They also stay intact all day long (I use a base though). Needless to say, the colors look on the skin exactly the same way they do in the palette.

  1. The palette packaging is gorgeous as usual! All colors are quite wearable except the one at the bottom left: bronze with golden shimmers. It goes great only with the combination of brown/blue eyes and tanned/olive skin. It’s kind of metallic too, very tricky for us, pale skin girls. But quite honestly, who has ever bought an eyeshadow palette and used more than two or three colors? πŸ™‚

    1. Quite right, Yulia! I will try to combine it with a brick-red color though. For a summer evening it could possibly work out… πŸ˜‰

  2. Oh yay, this is finally working! I could see the site the other day but not make a comment. Anyways, I was going to say I love this palette on you! Very soft, romantic, and spring-appropriate! You did a great job!
